Similar to my Uses or Now pages, this page is an attempt to share some information about myself publicly. But this one is to share ideas that I’ve had, that countless others have also had, but that I really want someone to make!
None of these ideas are so precious that anyone should treat them as private things that should be jealously guarded. Most ideas never get any action taken on them. For as many times as I’ve kicked myself when an idea that I’ve had written down for years becomes a product made by someone else, at least that person took action.

- Newsletters for fandom niches – For me it would be probably the furry fandom that I’d start with. This isn’t some, “start a newsletter and get rich quick!” scheme, but a showcase of a fandom and community that you care about. There’s always an audience, and I want to be your audience!
- Universal note app data converter – I know that I’m not alone in trying out multiple note apps. And even apps that all use markdown or flat text files still have things like frontmatter used to make them work right in that app. I want to make it less stressful to try out multiple apps to see the right one for you, by allowing you to convert one type to another, or even preparing existing notes for multiple apps to easily import.
- Skill tree system for web dev – Or design, or other things that could use multiple learning paths. I’ve seen diagrams and flowcharts, but I want something gamified in a way, like a video game skill tree where you’re working on specific skills at the expense of others. Just like real life.
- End-user friendly personal data tracker – There are a number of quantified self tools out there, but most are either very specific (only certain sources are available for inclusion), or require a high level of technical knowledge to setup and maintain. I want to be able to create data trackers for myself and my partners just for the things that interest us, not shared or owned by some large tech company.
- Tamagotchi maker – Let an artist pop in their own art to make a classic Tamagotchi!
- WordPress pre-publish rules – I started on this idea nearly a decade ago. At this point, with WordPress v6.0+, it seems closer than ever to being a simple plugin using existing APIs. Basically, admins should be able to set rules when it comes to publishing content on the site. For instance, ensuring that a featured image is in place, or not allowing publishing without selecting tags and categories.
- Misophonia game – I have misophonia, and it isn’t always easy to explain to folks who have never experienced it. I thought that a simple game to demonstrate how it can affect a sufferer would be helpful. Random mechanic idea: noise canceling headphones with limited battery life, meaning you can’t always block out unwanted sounds.
- Furry avatar creator – Basically I just want a picrew style creator that I can add various anthro animal parts too and let folks change the designs and colors.
- A blogging community for queer folks – I’m sure that these exist, but I want a general web-ring and community for bloggers who incorporate their queerness into their work.
