I’ve been spending the past week trying to come up with a name for my new Mastodon instance. This is a project that I’d love to take the advice that I’m always given and choose a placeholder then figure out a name later. Unfortunately this is not really possible with a project like this, since the domain is hardcoded so many places. Hopefully I’ll solve this today. Naming things is hard!
Outside of difficult naming tasks, I’ve been distracted by lots of life events, both positive and negative. This again has had an impact on my work, as well as getting these newsletters out. I’ve still made time to consume some things to share with yall below.

Maybe it is the stereotype that needs to change. Giving people housing stops them from being houseless. Giving people money can help too, shocker.

I recognize far too many of the thought leaders described in this video. My main mode of video consumption is edutainment, so that’s not very surprising. What is surprising is how much I’ll still listen to people who otherwise look insane.
I found this video via the latest Garbage Day newsletter, then Mastodon. I agree with the comment that Ryan Broderick highlighted: “This is a hundred times better than it has any business being.”
