Tech Differently is both a speaker accelerator and a conference, from someone who has lots of experience with both. If you’re marginalized in tech, give it a look! I’m already behind in this week, so I think I’m just gonna send this newsletter as-is. I am tinkering and creating, and feeling a bit more up than last week thanks to the newish habits and meds. I hope yall are having a good weekend!

Having to constantly wonder if you’re talking to a real person. If you’re looking at real information. Having people presume that you used AI. It’s going to stress all of us out at some point.
We’ve been doing more native plants at home. They aren’t the same kind of tidy weed that lawn grass is. They’re much better.

Some of the things mentioned, annoying as they can be, I understand. But when the idea of thrifting flipped from saving money and saving things from the landfill to getting just as much profit (more, actually) as the stores that originally sold the items, it’s a problem.
We don’t need a “Joe Rogan of the Left” or whatever. We need to not let the most reactionary takes win.

I did not realize how much chuds worship the fascist villains of this dark game, but it also doesn’t surprise me.
