I’ve been working on YouTube Shorts again, as well as some crafting videos. This weekend I’m publishing a video on how I make stickers!
I also updated my Patreon with a new post for the first time in a year. That’s something that I’m going to try to get better about too. Not because I offer something specific yet for patrons, but because I want to start doing so in the future. Part of my goal of being a full-time creative is diversifying my sources of income.
I’m still in the early days of pushing myself to do more videos and more writing. I’m still learning, and I’m still figuring out the right cadence for working. What I’ve not figured out is what my methods of growth will be. That’s my next big project, especially knowing what kinds of videos and channels “do well” in terms of subscriber count, and which don’t.
Spoiler: I doubt I’ll be doing the type of vlogging that leads to real viewership for folks who don’t care about me specifically or the type of thing that I do. Because I don’t travel to events every weekend, discuss the private lives of others, or respond to all of the news of the week.
Maybe I’ll find a space for myself, maybe not. That’s what I’m using 2026 to find out. I know that I’d prefer to have something come of the effort, but realize that it’s partly chance as well.

Dang, this could really happen, couldn’t it?
An outlier, with schizoaffective disorder, barely a high school diploma, and a well paid tech job that allows him to work for themself and others. If only more folks had the level of support, structurally and personally, to succeed in spite of the system.
We all hate big tech, so let’s use our distaste for it to make something better. We can do it! Even if the reason why sucks so much.
Like the reason why these hate groups are less ascendant directly is because they are basically the power structure now.

There’s nothing to hide behind. There’s no reason. It is pure malice and to fit in-line with the idea that a marginalized group is the reason for problems (that we did not cause).
What a wonderful short film with a bit of a twist at the end that makes it even more poignant.
Take care of one another, especially when the world fears you.
You’ve got to be a manly man and invade other countries. Not be one of those “men who thinks they’re women” who need to be destroyed.
Be there for one another, especially when it’s needed most.
A fun and melancholic mix of an Alzheimer’s tragedy and the wild Everything Everywhere All At Once.

The system runs on our attention. By withholding our attention, we drain the system of the resources it needs to control us.
dang, I’ve been a cyborg longer than I assumed.
If you made it this far, why not share this newsletter with a friend? Or share with me some of the things that you found that you liked this week. Either way, I’m thrilled!
