I had some good news on Monday, as we found that our dog’s leg is in better shape than we’d been previously led to believe. She has a splint that is making her sound clicky clacky as she walks now, but she’s also back to sprinting around the yard and house. She has learned nothing at all 
We spent the holidays with my husband’s family, and he put on a murder mystery party that I think went rather well. I was the bartender, which meant that I got to stand separate of most of the crowd, make some drinks and mocktails, and just trade gossip back and forth for the mystery, as opposed to having to maintain a character myself.
Speaking of crowds, I had a rather uncomfortable dream that night after I went to bed. While I don’t remember all of the details, I do strongly remember crowds, loud buzzing, overlapping sounds, and more over-stimulation leading to a meltdown. This is something that I can generally avoid in my day to day, but seems to be pressing itself into my hours of sleep. That’s unfortunate as it’s very stressful, and I already sleep poorly.
Anyway! It’s been another ups and downs week, but I’m ready for a day with my partners and friends where we get to see a movie that I’ve been waiting for, have a meal together, and exchange presents!
I’ll see all of yall in 2025 with some new exciting shininess!

Here’s an example of how not to write about worker strikes: making it about the poor, sad consumer who isn’t going to be able to get a Starbucks latte or a Nespresso machine on Amazon if workers near them are fighting for basic human rights.
Technically deep, fairly interesting. How on earth could this happen?
While I agree with the phrase, “this too shall pass”, I don’t care to think about that eventuality when talking about human knowledge and creativity share online.

What a shocker, poverty is punished. Basically the food wasn’t great, wasn’t healthy, didn’t taste good, and wasn’t even saving money in the long term or short term.
I love how they basically just made up some improv acting poorly, but then just animated it as is.
Why on earth was this system made so complicated? I mean it’s kinda funny but dang!
This just is the real world right now for some of us.
