Something that I’ve been told to do for a long time is time-blocking. And I know that it’s probably good for me! My AuDHD mind is always looking for excuses for procrastination. Like writing a newsletter because it’s at the top of my todoist list, no because it is the top thing that I should be doing at that moment.
What I’m trying to do right now is get a general idea of each half hour block of time, and filling in what I do after the fact. This is a new thing for me, so I figure having some data to start with would help. I’ve already had some changes of plans happen with unexpected calls and errands and stuff, but I at least feel a bit more productive. I’m making some progress that I haven’t been making in the week prior, where my ability to focus long-term has been near zero.
I get that in general you should try to focus on just one project at a time. And for my mental health and financial well being that may be the case! But I’m always going to have that idea that I am missing out on doing something that I want. Or that opportunities will pass me by since I didn’t pursue them. So instead I’ll just keep pursuing a lot of things a little bit.
That works, right?
Right?

Even if it had to be considered at all, I suppose that it’s nice that there are ways to get republicans to vote against anti-trans bills. I guess even if that has to be something other than considering the humanity of the individuals under attack. #SmallWins
We’ve been denied, but by who truly? How do we thread the needle of corporate centralization and relying on the work of unpaid and underappreciated developers, administrators, and moderators?
At this point I can’t suggest that anyone visit the US. Sorry friends coming to spend time with us later this year! No, not even if you are a white, educated woman with a specialized job coming from Canada.
The surprise isn’t that a fan-driven platform can survive and be popular with fans, but that large corporations haven’t stopped them.

Unlike a lot of other communities, the queer community is almost entirely made up of unrelated individuals having to build up in spaces that are either actively hostile, or at best apathetic to our existence.
Thank you to Hexxy for showing me this channel. A furry puppet disassembling old electronics? This is my vibe.
I often spend so much time worrying what my friends and partners think of me that I am not living in the moment with them. Don’t do that.

Wow shocker, Janet Jackson loses her career while Justin Timberlake is basically praised.
Call them Weird Little Guys. It really does seem to work to make them mad enough to get distracted.
I wish that more of us spent more time having fun on the internet.
If you made it this far, why not share this newsletter with a friend? Or share with me some of the things that you found that you liked this week. Either way, I’m thrilled!
