This past week has felt like a pretty good one for getting things done. It’s not meant to be a toxic productivity refrain, but I’ve just been stressing so much about all of my personal, financial, and house maintenance projects that it’s nice to feel like more are getting done than being created.
I’m thankful that I finally started making devlogs, to keep better track of what I’m doing, at least in code. I may change the name or just start using it to describe other projects. For instance, this week in my log:
- Created v1.0 of Custom Emoji Replacer – a plugin for WordPress sites to let you replace emoji with custom images!
- FetchFox is now on the Mozilla Addon Site!
- Fixed some issues with Creative Commons Post Republisher and released v2.1.0!
- Fixed more issues with CCPR!
Outside of code, I’ve been working on repairs around the house. There are always things to do in a physical space. Entropy is stressful! But I’ve been slowly working on completing some outstanding projects, which does feel nice to do.
I feel a lot better on my shop and art projects now that I’ve found new ways to do lineart that I don’t immediately hate. I’m kinda new to digital art, and fairly new to Procreate, but I can certainly see the appeal. I figure if I can complete a few more of my sticker and button ideas over the holiday weekend, I’ll feel a lot more comfortable for Megaplex plans.
Speaking of holiday, everyone enjoy your time off that you can get, whether you live in Murica or not. love you all! 🥰

They understand that the bomb threat was a symptom, not a cause. The cause is Chaya Raichik, and her domestic terrorism needs to be addressed and stopped, not celebrated.
A good site for furry history, and a lot of interesting information about the early days of fursonas that I did not know about. It makes sense that cultural shifts and perceptions of self would affect how we view ourselves and our fluffy counterparts.
Thirty years later and we’ve grown a lot, but lost a lot of culture too.

I think that community can absolutely be formed online. But paradoxically we can feel even more alone with more and more opportunities for surface level connection.
I’ve never heard of Llanito, but I like the focus on saving language
A bit of a clickbait title, since it’s not really in Florida, but using a town here as a waystation of sorts for physical product scamming.

As the story has been publicly presented, it seems so obvious that cheating of some sort occurred. But was it really so straightforward? And how much punishment is too much in the court of public opinion?
I did not realize that the Tornado crypto service was illegal in the US, but what on earth can we do about managing systems that aren’t controlled under any country, and can be interacted with even without your consent?
An interview with the creator of the term Enshittification, Cory Doctorow. The way to solve this problem is to take control of more of our own spaces online, and push back on growth-at-all-cost platforms.
I love how it’s mainly furry artists that I know who specifically push giving their music away for free so that others can use it for things like streams and videos. I really appreciate having these resources!
If you made it this far, why not share this newsletter with a friend? Or share with me some of the things that you found that you liked this week. Either way, I’m thrilled!
