I also finally got my new laser cutter, and set it up this week. I haven’t had a chance to use it much yet, but I can already tell that the cuts are cleaner, quicker, and just overall much better than my previous laser. It did it’s job for one that I bought several years ago for about $100, and this update (with a very nice open-box and Black Friday coupon discount) looks like it will be well worth it.
This weekend, after the charity breakfast, I went with my partner to the Orlando Goblin Market, which is a monthly queer art market. The weather was nice, and there were so many cute booths! There were also a lot of people in cosplay, cute outfits, and fursuits.
I told myself that I would limit spending (preferably to about nothing at all), but I wanted to get a few snacks for us to enjoy, some treats to bring home to my husband, and an adorable shirt that I considered picking up for my partner last month. Christmas gifts can get pricey!
I really hope to vend at this market next year, at least once. I’m working my way toward that, and the laser will help! I’m also going to do more crafting vlogs via my youtube channel.

It feels surreal how much time, money, and energy has been wasted on making the government perform worse this past year.
I really expected the, “I need a job with benefits and pay” story to be more common. But no, I guess that there are limits to what people who just need a job will do, and the scummiest amongst us will be lining up to get a job with ICE.
The point is to be cruel. That’s it. All of the decisions being publicly made and shared are to signal to a specific base that they want to be cruel to any groups that are not them. Which sucks ass, since most people fit into some group being attacked at some point or another.
I don’t know if LLM therapy will be net good or net bad, considering how many people use it, but we only hear the big negatives.

Korra goes through so so much in the series. It would be hard for anyone to bounce back from the levels of pain she experiences.
Does embodiment need to happen for consciousness? I’ve no idea, but it’s a convenient way to require humanoid robots in stories!

I try to avoid Chris Chan content, mainly because of the darkness that was spawned with KiwiFarms.
Honestly, after listening to this, I can’t imagine that doing things to limit your plastic exposure actually does much to help.
So what I’ve learned is that a lot of phrases are nautical themed, but just as many are apocryphally nautical themed.
