david wolfpaw • 29 Sep 2025 • Reading time: 6 minsI’m trying to get back to video creation. I have never really been great at editing, and realized that if I’m going to make things that I don’t hate, I need to improve at that a bit, or find a workflow that lets me use tools to make videos.
The latter is more likely. I’ve used several editing tools, and realize that an industry standard tool like Davinci Resolve is the way to go if I want to really get into the nitty gritty of editing. But when I don’t want to do that, tools like Capcut and Kapwing feel like they can make the job much easier. Now it’s just settling on one thing and stop playing with a half dozen tools.
My first goal for videos: making some Shorts around Inktober. I’m already so close to October and not prepared, but what else is new? I made a little video coming up with some ideas, and asking for suggestions for some of the prompts that I didn’t have a good idea for.
This is probably overly ambitious, but I try to find ways to really force myself into working on a task that I want to do, hoping that if I get halfway done, it’s farther than I otherwise would have gotten anyway going at my own pace.

Even if viewed by someone who doesn’t believe in goblins, this is reported not making fun of people, but respecting that the stress of climate change and natural disasters needs to have some outlet.
I remember someone getting mad at me for describing myself as a Very Online Person, as they took it as a slur against themselves. Some people can recognize that they are tapped in to a more chaotic space, while recognizing that it isn’t the most healthy thing.

I don’t think that trans discourse should be focused on a binary. Isn’t that what transphobes do and want? Talking about transfems doesn’t mean that you hate transmascs, and talking about transmascs doesn’t mean that you hate transfems.

And that’s great! Because there’s so much creativity in this community, and I love to see more.

The Bill was a mess, and it’s somehow doing exactly what it intended (destroying social structures, enriching the elites further), while doing it poorly and even worse.
It’s not just the Right. If someone is getting paid to say something, someone has a reason that it’s worth paying them to say it.
AI slop might replace the internet, but that just means that we’ll have moved on to something post-internet. Because I refuse to believe that the average person will engage with pure slop nonstop.
Houdini was one of those larger-than-life figures who had a hand in more things than you expect, and an outsized influence on the world.
