This weekend I traveled to Montclair, NJ for WordCamp, where I gave a talk on Monetizing WordPress. I think that the presentation went well, and I had a lot of great conversations at the event too, hopefully some leading to work.
Speaking of monetization, it’s time to work on my income diversification properly. I’m going to come back to yall with some answers next week, but for now I’ve got work to do!

A great example of the need for local news coverage. Important stories that take time and effort to uncover, with wider implications, but focused on a specific area.
I’m glad that Medium is leaning away from the startup, growth at all cost, and slightly embracing humans more.
I often don’t feel at home in my body. It definitely doesn’t make me feel like it is my consciousness.

Dead Mall Walking did the mall closest to me that I used to go to a ton. They had so many plans for it, but I doubt that it’ll be revitalized soon.
Ugh, what a terrible video. I mean like even when he cut out the most objectionable scenes (and still kept the end that referenced them?) it’s an awful video. This takedown explains why.
I didn’t add a Rowan Ellis video on OCD this week (probably next week), but being seen by larger voices for things that I’ve been managing my whole life is appreciated.

I keep meaning to showcase Lateral, which I’ve only really gotten into since Tom Scott stopped his weekly YouTube videos. I love interesting puzzles and weird stories
I have a rather soft spot for border collies, both the dogs and the furry sonas. Having a blue pup to watch play relaxing piano was calming.
I’m gonna be on this show this week! This is what gave me the inspiration, thinking of how marginalization in the workplace affects queer folks, especially thinking about it during Pride Month.
