Pulling up old ideas again

I know that it’s probably not the best way to do things, but I have been trying to make progress on several projects at once this week by pushing a lot of todos to the top of my task list. My thought was that putting them front and center for a few days would make me think of them in a more action-oriented way.

Did this work? Kinda! I did get more stress in trying to juggle many things. But I also worked through a few low-hanging fruit that I added to this list weeks or months ago.

I had more actual paid work this week too. Which is great since I need it, but that also meant that I split my focus more than I should have. I need to get on that personal project manager 😅

You know what I’d love? Having things that I can show yall! Soon, I hope.

Not that I don’t greatly appreciate the work of trailblazers, but I admittedly don’t like some of the ideas that she ends on in this interview. Namely that the focus should be on us advocating for ourselves and our children instead of looking for others to do it, and that we need to have other things to talk with our elected officials about than our own existences.

I’ve not dealt with this level of harassment, but I can attest that sometimes people online will get you in their crosshairs, and then shots will keep getting fired long after you want to move on 🤣

Try not to be shitty to your partners. That means putting a healthy amount of focus on them. But it also means not being so suspicious that you constantly hide or break trust.

Don’t worry, I’m sure that one specific millenial, Matt Mullenweg, will do his darndest to ruin Tumblr now.

Is the title a joke? idk but I miss free Geoguessr. At least I can still watch Game Grumps make new episodes (released an hour apart even!) of the globe-trotting clicker game.

Going with the above. I kinda did not like this video much, since it was coming from the perspective of folks who acted like they could not understand being interested in more than one person at a time. At least they defined a few common terms, followed by way more terms that no one ever uses in practice.

Benji does some great furry interviews, but this one is top-tier.

Ten years of Night Mind! Congratulations on the achievement, and I’m thankful to see someone who maintains their sanity while doing what they love for an audience.

Let’s stop pretending that most of us don’t think about sex or have questions and interests around it.

Based on the interview, they laid the foundation decades ago, and let the US destroy itself online.

It feels right to me that the folks who can afford these doomsday scenarios before they happen are the ones pushing for it, while forgetting everything that others do for them right now to make their lives function.

A lot of folks would peg the guest if they didn’t know him, just based on his looks and accent. And that’s probably part of our issue 😅
