I’m finally starting something on my personal blog that I’ve been thinking about for a while: a devlog. There’s nothing there now, because I just created that category, but I’m going to try to do regular posts about what I’m working on and what I’ve completed that week. It’s a lot easier to validate, and to show progress if it’s regularly communicated!

I’ve been working on plugins and stuff, including more updates to the Creative Commons Post Republisher to work with the Full Site Editor after a productive meeting with some of their team earlier this week. It’s still in need of some more work, but I’m happy to have others offering to collaborate now with more domain knowledge.

I’ve teased a few times that I have a secret project that I am spending some time on, which is what I intend on devoting today to. It’s not that it’s secret important, more like secret that I don’t want to commit to it publicly yet if I don’t make advancements on it soon 😅

Having smaller communities that we have to seek out and integrate ourselves into is not a bad thing!

I’m interested in reading this as the full planned book. Folks who have been marginalized in a community still finding space for themselves.

I don’t think that the Pirate Party needs to (or should be) a single-issue party if they want to hold any seats.

I have some OCD tendencies that have followed me my whole life, along with my autistic tendencies, ADHD, and depression. It would be nice to see more realistic representations in media that can let more folks know that they are not alone, and there is a name to what and how they are feeling.

The thing that Adult Swim did well was choosing to explicitly not focus on the lowest common denominator, but to challenge their viewers, who in turn challenged them right back.

I’m I guess a purist when it comes to liminal space horror, where I don’t need deep classifications and lore of every level and various monster types, but just the endless empty space itself as horror.

You don’t always win. You aren’t meant to always win.

This is an overview of various ways that enshittification has grown over the past few years.

Another engaging deep dive into comics history from a master storyteller. Even for comics I’ve never heard of sound more enthralling as true-life dramas.

Thank you for sharing about the life of a transgender technologist who spent her life fighting against transphobia while literally changing the world of computing on its most basic and fundamental levels.

The Fur and Loathing series is almost over, and takes what sounds outlandish and makes it real. I appreciate the hard work that Nicky put into understanding and reporting on this oft-maligned community.

Everyone has their own story of personal discovery and coming out.
