The ADHD brain has been strong this week. It feels a struggle to keep up on projects. I’m working on that, but finding a way out of that also requires a focus that I’ve barely been able to give.

I want this to be a space where I share my thoughts, but so much lately has been not feeling introspective enough to go deep into anything. Or even having much to go into. I’m trying some new techniques to try to help with this. We’ll see how they go šŸ˜…

Now that it’s past and I can talk about it a little, I did a presentation on furry and queer board games for virtual BabyFurCon a few weeks ago. I have this video unlisted, but I did an unpackaging of the care envelope that they sent attendees before the con.

Billionaires live in a totally different world from the rest of us, where the things that normal people have to think hard about are not a consideration at all.

I mean, I guess. But let’s also not forget that in a centralized platform, Community barely exists when it can be taken away. Like at Reddit.

Wow shocker, Facebook is a scam company that lies to everyone and steals everything with no concern for ethics or morals.

Everyone is the main character of their lives… and of the books written where they are the enemies.

Yeah, it’s not all about the Internet Archive, but for some companies that’s just a sweet bonus.

Because we still pretend that only cis, straight men play games?

If you were able to spot the issue after the first few examples, good job!

A nice little twist to this one, and both funny and sad.

Using these terms doesn’t always mean that we’re trivializing them. Not that it always means that we’re using them right either šŸ˜…

The issue that Princess Weekes brings up mainly isn’t that AI is the issue, but humans. As in, humans continuing to be terrible to one another when they don’t get what they want.

I realize that it’s in the title, but I did not expect this part of the story to go from, “scams people with fake medicine and check scams” to, “maybe had a plane with 41 people on board blown up with a patsy on board to scam insurance payouts”.

And the internet won’t look back at all, beyond thinking of you as a non-human entity deserving of destruction.
